Office Policies

The following is an explanation of my office policies. I believe that a clear definition will allow us to concentrate on the most important issue: regaining and maintaining your health. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding my policies, your account, or insurance coverage.

New Patient Services

The fee to begin care in my office is $185.00 ($180.00 if 65 years or older or under the age of 18). This fee includes your initial exam and first adjustment.  This fee is discounted 30% for family members of new patients if they begin care within 6 months of the original family member.

Our Policy on Health Insurance

Today most insurance policies do cover chiropractic care. I will gladly submit a claim on your behalf in order for your insurance company to be informed of the services you have received here and your out-of-pocket payment. Payment in full is due at the time of service. Your insurance company will reimburse you directly based on your plan’s out-of-network chiropractic benefits. If you are unsure of coverage, the best way to find out is for you to call your insurer at the customer service number located on the back of your card and ask about your “out-of-network chiropractic benefits” as well as your deductible information for the current year.

Please understand we are not a mediator between you and your insurance company and will not enter into any dispute with them, as your contract is strictly between you and your insurance company.

Appointment Policy

Unfortunately, there are times when my patient’s needs will sometimes cause delays in my office.  Please bear with me.  I will give you the same care and consideration during your appointment.  If you have a tight schedule and I am running behind I understand you may need to reschedule with me.

In order to better serve all of my patients and avoid compounded delays in my schedule, I ask that you arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time.

Please call at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make your appointment. Your appointment time is reserved for you.  If you arrive more than 5 minutes late for your appointment you may be asked to reschedule.

Terms

When a person seeks chiropractic care in this office it is essential for each of us to be working together towards the same objective.

Chiropractic has only one objective.

To be clear it is important to establish an understanding of our philosophy and procedure.

The brain and nervous system monitor and regulate all the functions of your body. The objective of Chiropractic and this office is to restore proper nerve function by eliminating nerve interference caused by vertebral subluxation.

A balanced and fully functioning nervous system is essential for you to regain and maintain health.

Chiropractic is not Medicine, Medicine is not Chiropractic.

Diagnosing and treating disease (or its symptoms) is the practice of medicine. Chiropractic is not medicine and therefore does not treat disease. As chiropractors we focus on creating health rather than “treating” the lack of it. Regardless of your body’s condition, be it good or bad, you need a good nerve supply. If during the course of care we find something out of the ordinary you will be notified. If it is of non-chiropractic nature, it is your responsibility to seek care with the appropriate professional.
